This position is accountable for accelerating regional growth by developing best in class workflow and automation solution value offers that span across the DS portfolio and activating those through a new and enhanced go-to-market strategy. This manager works across platforms and with global and regional DS marketing leaders, business leaders and sales trainers to ensure alignment of the DS workflow and automation value offers and activation of the supporting go-to-market strategy to regional standards. By creating and leading the development of these workflow and automation value offers, this role will fully integrate with the existing BDWoM and BDWoS disciplines to elevate the DS commercial effectiveness in solution marketing and selling.

The global role reports to the Director, DS Global Solutions Architect, and establishes and maintains a world-wide communication network with regional product and solution marketers.

Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with global platform and portfolio brand owners to ensure alignment of the brands to the defined workflow solution areas and corresponding go-to-market strategy

  • Work with cross BD DS (and BDX teams) to develop and activate DS workflow and automation value offers

  • Work closely with Solution Commercial Effectiveness Manager to develop and elevate DS marketing and sales training programs for our developed workflow and automation value offers to accelerate regional growth.

  • Work closely with the Global Marketing manager, Clinical solutions to drive full alignment between the workflow, automation and clinical value offers.

  • Work closely with the Healthcare Consultant Director, the Healthcare Economics team, Medical and Scientific affairs to develop models and programs that will drive primary demand for our workflow and automation solutions.

  • Develop and execute worldwide solution marketing plans, focused on “how to win”, including sales and marketing tool development, communication plan development, solution market shaping activities etc.

  • Actively drive change and improvement in our global go-to-market structure across platforms for DS automation solution value offers

  • Work closely with the platform leads, the Solutions R&D lead and the GPDS Commercial Excellence manager to effectively incorporate sample, data and inventory pathway mapping as our baseline for identifying innovations and developing new workflow and automation solutions to support the DS transformation in becoming a customer-focused organization.

  • Proactively develop and execute competitive go-to-market strategies to drive solution differentiation in the market through technology and workflow integration and excellence in services as part of our workflow solutions.

  • Work closely with DS services organization to enhance our services technology and capabilities in support of our complex workflow and automation solutions

  • Work with global and regional marketing (and sales) teams to align and integrate the workflow and automation solution plans into platform plans and track regional implementation/ rollout of agreed up on plans.

  • Provide real-time support to marketing & sales specialists in all regions for developed workflow and automation solution value-offers and related go-to-market infrastructures.

  • Collaborate with platform marketers to manage and drive newly developed go-to-market models, technology and capabilities to support workflow and automation solutions.

  • Effectively partner and collaborate with regional marketing leaders, R&D, Clinical and Scientific Affairs and other functions to ensure appropriate inputs into DS technology and automation portfolio strategies. .

  • Assess and pursue as appropriate commercial collaboration with other BDX businesses and external partners to develop DS intellectual capital and supporting services as part of our solution offers.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.


  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Education, MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of total marketing experience; worldwide strategic marketing, global marketing and product management in life science companies with a focus on commercial launch and go-to-market strategies.

  • Demonstrated skills in development and execution of successful new product launch plans that have provided rapid, global, market penetration and uptake in fast moving, competitive markets.

  • Strategic agility and action oriented with the ability to drive results.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and implementation skills; proven analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable plans; demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing and product strategies, convert them into tactical marketing plans, execute and deliver results.

  • Creative out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious, stays current on new trends, and takes calculated risks with novel ideas.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-culturally.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills - written and oral - for a wide variety of audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong relationships with, customers, advisory boards, and potential or existing business partners.

  • Leadership presence with ability to utilize organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to effectively negotiate and persuade others, comfortable with complex and matrixed-team environments.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing.

  • Willingness to travel international, approx. 30% of the time.
