BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Senior Manager, Spares and Logistics - Field Service Team in Sparks, Maryland
Job Description Summary
The Spares & Logistics leader is responsible for creating, owning and managing strategy to provide right spare at right time, at right price and at right quality on a North American basis. The role will be responsible for both BDB and DS and respective resources will be be reporting to this position.
Spares and logistics leader is also accountable for north America Service Supply Chain, covers strategy and either owning or partnering in the areas of manufacturing and repair, forecasting and planning and supply and delivery. Works closely with the WW supply /demand spares planner and regional service leaders to ensure right spares at right time at right price to our customers
Create, own and deploy North America spares and logistics strategy thus increase spares part cost productivity for BDB and DS.
Drive 95% demand fill rate at the customer.
Accontable for North America spares parts cost productivity
Works closely with the WW supply /demand spares planner and regional service leaders to ensure right spares at right time at right price to our customers.
Collaborates with other districs service organizations and service leaders to develop and implement efficient and effective service supply chain strategies to improve same day fix.
Collaborates with Global service engineering / operations to ensure efficient and effective new product introductions.
Collaborates and coordinates with Service engineering to define service replaceable spare part lists.
Collaborates with SORP to ensure availability of SORP spare parts.
Direct appropriate actions within the business unit to assure better customer experience through service parts quality and availability.
Ensure parts traceability.
Responsible for developing and maintaining a reverse logistics process for service materials.
Contribute toward the development of cost effective solutions for spare parts to end of production / end of service.
Ensure compliance with QC/QA procedures.
BS/BA in business supply chain.
Managed spares supply chain for capitol instruments
Experience working in the regulated medical device service industry preferred.
2-5 years in lean six-sigma experience dealing with spares preferred
Effective analytical, problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and SAP. With emphasis on Excel and SAP.
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a team environment in order to achieve goals.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Ability to travel 10-20% of the time (domestic & international)
