Job Description Summary

To actively contribute to the BD Projects team by working collaboratively across all business sectors to ensure the successful implementation of BD’s technology portfolio within Australia and New Zealand

Job Description

This customer facing role involves working as part of a team to deliver, set-out, install and test automated robotic equipment in customer sites including hospitals and retail pharmacies. You will be joining the Projects team, reporting to the Head of Projects, and working closely with the Project Manager for each project.

This role requires extensive travel across Australia and New Zealand (up to 48 weeks/year), with occasional travel to Europe.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Installation and assembly of automation equipment at customer sites

  • Safe offloading, receipt and delivery of parts to installation location

  • Responsible for the entire installation process including quality assurance of products and pre-commissioning sign off

  • Follow company and customer health and safety requirements and procedures

  • Complete administrative tasks relating to installations including Report Forms, checklists, safety documents, and machine file documentation.

  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy and safe work environment at all times

  • Maintaining professional and positive behaviour, promoting company's ethics and values

  • Completing own administration in a timely manner, e.g. timesheets, expenses, and training

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven mechanical aptitude with experience and confidence utilising handheld power tools

  • City and Guilds/BTEC or Apprenticeship qualification in a mechanical discipline, or equivalent experience

  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme card or equivalent is desirable but not essential

  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a team under pressure

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, take measurements and apply them to a worksite

  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety, including safe manual handling and the ability to work at height (A frame ladder)

  • Current unrestricted drivers' license

  • An interest in technology and the willingness to learn installation processes
