Our vision for BD Interventional Surgery Division:

In Surgery, our products empower providers to reduce the incidence of surgical complications, improve patients’ experiences and lower the total cost of surgical care.

The BD Interventional Surgery Division offers a broad range of infection prevention and biosurgery products, including ChloraPrep skin prep, Arista Absorbable Hemostat, and Progel Air Leak Sealant.

The Quality Care Consultant is responsible for supporting the timely and quality sale, installation and monitoring of BD Surgical Infection Prevention and BioSurgery products and services; may also provide product and service education to facilitate technology adoption and workflow change management.

Job Description

The Quality Care Consultant Pacific Northwest will covering WA, OR, ID, MT, AK, and North and South Dakota.

The Quality Care Consultant is responsible for supporting the timely and quality sale, installation and monitoring of BD Surgical Infection Prevention and BioSurgery products and services; may also provide product and service education to facilitate technology adoption and workflow change management.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical education and training, products and services

  • Participates in or leads pre-sales support, assessment and evaluation of new products and services

  • Participates in or leads the post-sales assessment, design, implementation and monitoring of new products and services

  • Develops, plans and manages customer training programs

  • Serves as lead consultant and resource to internal and external customers

  • Makes recommendations that will drive customer acceptance and utilization of new products and services

  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for product improvement using direct customer feedback

  • All support and duties will be on-label

  • Participate and manage customer assessments for quality care initiative and assist in developing plan for customer process standardization.

  • Good organizational and communication skills

  • Expertise with Office Tools including PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • Assist with field and/or class room training of new sales consultants

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Registered Nurse required.

  • Clinical experience required.

  • A minimum of 4 – 6 years of experience in related field is required.

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills.

  • Must poses and maintain a criminal background satisfactory to BD. Criminal backgrounds may be monitored on an annual basis or as needed.

  • Travel – Approximately 50-60% of work time will be spent traveling, including overnight.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.
