Job Description:

• Primary focus of position is chromatographic analysis, dissolution analysis, and wet chemistry of incoming materials and drug products

• Following SOPs to perform routine lab functions such as in process and finished product testing for research and development and manufacturing operations.

• Assist with method development and validation activities to support product development activities.

• Document results and data entry as required by cGMP’s.

• Perform routine equipment maintenance and maintain lab supplies.

• Provide input to procedure change control and assist in drafting documents as required.

Essential / Key Job Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing in support of ongoing R&D and process development projects.

• Support project teams for analysis of pharmaceuticals and combination products.

• Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP).

• Support Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory & R&D to ensure systems are compliant with all guidelines.

• Write and summarize technical reports based on analytical findings.

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Working knowledge of analytical techniques, such as spectroscopy, wet chemistry, and chromatography

• Ability to manage/prioritize high volumes of analysis requests

• Consistent attention to detail

• Aptitude for experimental design and problem solving

• Ability to work independently, as well as on teams

• Knowledge of cGMP and/or GLP is a plus.

Education and/or Experience:

• Education: BS degree in Science (e.g. physics, biology, chemistry, mathematical, computer, engineering) or other physical science subject area. Chemistry or analytical chemistry degree preferred.

• Experience: 0-3 years of industrial experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in medical device or other regulated FDA/QSR and ISO environment.
