Job Description Summary

Becton Dickinson – Peripheral intervention Human Resources team is looking for a motivated HR Intern who is ready to learn about various roles in HR. The HR Intern will provide support to associate inquiries regarding general HR questions or programs including benefits, onboarding, vacation, payroll, Workday, and other general HR policies and procedures.

Job Description

HR Intern Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect and update databases with new hire information

  • Composing and preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation

  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately

  • Assists with planning and execution of employee engagement events special

  • Proofread HR documents

  • Help prepare Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents

  • Track progress, priorities, and deadlines of various projects

  • Assist with the revision of the onboarding program

  • Participate in miscellaneous projects working with Associate Resource Group initiatives

  • Prepare a short presentation to share project results, findings, and updates related to assigned project(s) at the end of the program

Requirements

  • Pursuit of Human Resources Management or Business major desired; other majors welcome to apply, must be actively enrolled in a college or university program

  • Some experience in an office environment preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and web-based technologies

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; highly collaborative team approach to work

  • Position is located in Tempe, AZ and must be available to work 5 days a week and come into office location 2-3 days a week during the internship period
