Job Description SummaryThis intern position provides support to Regulatory Affairs Team, with a variety of tasks including registration dossiers for China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. The intern will be supervised and trained by an assigned Regulatory Affairs team member. Ongoing feedback will be given to the individual throughout their term to assess current strengths and weaknesses. Essential Job Functions: + Prepares and supports international submissions, including gathering technical documentation and drafting submissions to support the registration of medical devices in international markets. + Maintains obtained regulatory affairs files. + Develops working relationships with key personnel at the business unit and representatives of international business centers. + Understands and follows company procedures and regulatory requirements. + May prepare and present oral and written project updates and technical discussions. + Participates in special projects, as required. Basic Qualifications: + Completion of Junior year towards a degree in Law, Engineering, or one of the Life Sciences, or similar education. + Ability to plan and schedule multiple priorities in a concurrent fashion. + Ability to review, collate, and summarize scientific and technical data. + Ability to handle master documents, drawings, and specifications with a high degree of confidentiality. + Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. + Excellent written and oral communication skills. + Detail-oriented, critical thinking, and able to handle regulatory information and submissions with a high degree of accuracy. + Willing to be coached as well as an ability to work independently. + Proven computer software skills (Windows Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook). Education Requirements: + Completion of Junior year towards a degree in Law, Engineering, or one of the Life Sciences , or similar education. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment.The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch. BD and Covid-19: To ensure the safety of our associates, BD supports remote work where possible. This position is based in the listed location but is temporarily remote-based due to Covid-19. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate reporting to work at the site if/when associates are requested to return to the workplace.
