Job Description Summary
General Purpose Summary:
This position assists with engineering activities and performs tasks associated with those activities.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinates/manages testing of released protocols, including insuring adequate test material inventory and reports on a project level. Assist engineers to generates formal test protocols and reports. Assists in statistical analysis of data. Test and document experimental results in a manner that complies with GMP and GLP guidelines. Provide process/test method training to Manufacturing/QC personnel and other technicians. Maintains accurate data, analyzes and assists in drawing conclusions. Develops and maintains a working knowledge of BPV policies and ISO and FDA requirements. Develops new test methods. Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of processes and equipment to produce products that meet customer requirements and are cost effective. Responsible for assisting in system assurance including documentation, testing and inspection, product and process development, and non-conforming product investigations. Will assist in the support of Manufacturing, New Product Development and Regulatory to ensure systems are in compliance with all internal and external guidelines. Responsible for assisting in concept generation, design, development and evaluation of new products, materials and technologies.
Associates degree in science, math or engineering with 4 years related experience, or a minimum of 8 years related experience.
Basic Skills/Competencies Required:
Above average computer skills required. ( e. g ., Microsoft Office)
Excellent written and communication skills.
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Knowledge of GMP
Performs job with accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience working in a R&D Laboratory environment
GLP and ISO requirements a plus
Exposure to statistical analysis and experimental design helpful.
Experience of electronic tools and equipment (soldering, multi-meter, oscilloscope and analyzer, etc) is preferred.
bench testing a plus. Prior GMP and clean room experience a plus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be in an open cubicle environment. Candidate must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
