Will cover a wide range of duties and responsibilities in support of the operations of the manufacturing plant in Tijuana, Mexico. Areas of direct and indirect responsibility include disposable sterile manufacturing, Areas including Quality, Purchasing and Materials Warehouse, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Human Resources, Finances, Operations at Border Warehouse and Sterilization Contractor Management, and Supply Chain Management to Distribution Centers.

Job Description

Responsabilities:

  • Provides leadership to Directors and Managers at Tijuana Site.

  • Coordinate and lead activities as appropriate with functional peers in a highly matrixed organization.

  • Build and coach high performing teams, with balance between operational performance and strong succession planning.

  • Align operational objectives and drive results with key stakeholders in Product Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Finance, Planning, and Logistics.

  • Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives and strategy coming from leadership team in Switzerland.

  • Leads the daily execution of the manufacturing sites to meet all stakeholder expectations for quality, order fulfillment, total cost management, and budget management. Develops all elements of the financial plan for the operations department and effectively meeting the plan.

  • Drives improvement in operational effectiveness and efficiency and the implementation of lean manufacturing processes & continuous improvement programs.

  • Insures that the manufacturing facility operates in compliance with all local, state, federal and international regulations and ordinances including FDA, ISO, OSHA, EEO, EPA, etc., and applicable company policies and procedures.

  • Applies expertise to achieve financial and operational objectives.

  • Role models the company’s high ethical standards and code of conduct.

  • Implements succession plan for managing talent within and from outside the organization.

  • Sets goals for the function/ work area that are aligned with function/organization goals from Switzerland.

  • Inspires others to meet/exceed expectations on a daily basis through own enthusiasm and energy.

  • Identifies and initiates efforts to achieve objectives, teaching others to accept accountability for meeting and stretching to exceed results in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Manages resources to ensure financial objectives are met, leveraging knowledge of competitive advantage and profit drivers.

  • Resolves complex issues related to responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree/ Preferred in engineering or technical related, advanced degree and/or MBA preferred

  • +8 years of experience in similar activities/role

  • Professional English

  • Valid US Visa and passport

  • The successful candidate will likely be high energy, high touch; will have impeccable leadership credentials and will likely be hands on and results oriented. Driven, motivated, responsive, proactive, data oriented, intelligent, and articulate he/she will also possess credible, demonstrable team building and change management skills.
