BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Planner in Tuas, Singapore
Job Description Summary
Consolidates purchase forecasts for assigned products. Prepares MPS in a timely manner, optimize the use of available resources and co-ordinate with related departments to ensure product, volume and shipment compliance to targeted levels.
Manages demand exceptions, inventory and supply. Analyzes options and makes recommendations with businesses/ value streams.
Generates detailed production schedule in a timely manner. Check for material availabilities, coordinates with relevant parties to ensure smooth production run.
Responsible for assigned raw material inventory planning and replenishment to support production smoothly without disruptions.
Maintains optimum stock levels, minimizing inventory holding cost & meeting budget. Maintains obsolescence cost at minimum.
Drives key review platforms such as production consensus meeting, S&OP or supply review meetings to ensure operation plans are realistic and meeting customer's delivery requirements.
Perform purchasing activities – sourcing, audit, qualification, negotiation, escalation, supply planning, supplier evaluation and documentation for production materials.
Ensure uninterrupted supplies and services from suppliers without compromising quality while safe guarding the business interest.
Participating and contributing in Continuous Improvement/Cost reduction projects and activities.
Provide proposals and recommendation to management and end-user for planning & budget management.
Apply purchasing strategies to maximize buy position and ensure sufficient safety inventory.
