Job Description Summary

'- Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineer or designee, conducts all system inspections relating to the manufacturing of Bactec product including formulation, filling, labeling and packaging operations. Follows QSR, ISO, safety and environmental regulations.

  • Provide support in machine enhancement, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of equipment, project execution, accountability on Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost, as well as the overall technicians resource management in production.

Responsibilities

  • Performs in-process test for Bactec line following procedures to assure good performance in finished products.

  • Performs inspection of filling and packaging areas following QSR’s and ISO.

  • Maintains and keeps neat records during the process and immediately notifies Manufacturing Engineer or designee if any deviations occur.

  • Prepares chemical reagents according to written procedures.

  • Performs DI water system and product bioburden in accordance to written procedures and notifies Manufacturing Engineer if any deviation occurs.

  • Apply judgment and technical knowledge to perform tests for line approval for Bactec media filling and packaging lines, prepares reagents tests, bioburden of products and DI water system in accordance with established written procedures.Interprets technical instructions furnished in written forms.Needs communication skills to convey clearly to immediate supervisor and production Shift leader of any deviation found during in line inspections.

  • Completes batch control records and processes production orders in SAP.

  • Ensures that cleaning procedures and housekeeping are performed.

  • Needs to use judgment to make minor decisions in order to maximize the operations.

  • Safety and ISO14001 Environmental accountability. Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally-friendly workplace by observing Company’s rules and procedures. Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement and reduction of resource materials.

  • Safety & health accountability:Safety and health are important to BD and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you.Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance to our safety guidelines and SOPs.

  • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) accountability: Observing GMP rules and procedures.

  • Observe BD Code of Ethics.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiative / activities.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Science or Engineering Disciplines

  • Knowledge in SAP.

  • Experience in the Quality Control, laboratory or manufacturing operation within the Food/ Pharma / Chemicals / Biologics / Flavor / Beverage Industry

  • LEAN/Six Sigma experience preferred

  • Willingness to travel

  • Good communication & coaching skills

  • Refer to the Manufacturing Organization Chart

  • Accountable for the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance of Function and the associated team objectives.

  • Accountable to ensure that assigned team members are developed individually as well as collectively as a team

  • Accountable for to ensure all assigned operational initiatives are fulfilled timely
