Job Description Summary

Performs normalization of pharmacy formulary data by medication mapping process, medication alignment, peer review of data updates, and trending and improvement of key metrics.

Assists with the collection and reporting of metrics to define benefit realization and return on investment associated with BD HealthSight Data Platforms, in partnership with cross-functional BD departments.

Assists with the data generation, design, implementation, evaluation, curation and continuous improvement of data normalization processes with respect to drug formulary information, and future expansion of other healthcare information domains.

Reviews industry literature, practice guidelines, and new drug information to continuously improve data normalization processes and enrich the BD databases for drug information, with future expansion into other clinical data domains.

Contributes to development of the company's products from a medical and patient perspective to allow for integration of Implementation resources with other interdisciplinary teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

Performs pharmacy data normalization by achieving the following:

  • Performing formulary mapping activities with focus on HealthSight Diversion onboarding. Master knowledge of formulary mapping workflow

  • Demonstrate effective time management and resource allocation by completing deliverables that meet the desired outcome and on time.

  • Demonstrates creative problem solving skills.Is collaborative and seeks diverse perspectives when developing solutions.

  • Demonstrate the ability to complete work meeting expectations of commercial customers and departmental service level agreements.

  • Develop subject matter expert knowledge in BD applications to support the HealthSight Platform.

  • Support the development and improvement of pharmacy data mapping tools and processes by applying observations and experiences gained from mapping workflow.

  • Demonstrate the ability to utilize third party applications (such as Profisee and Tableau) to support BDL mapping and curation workflow.

  • Actively contribute to team meetings in order to ensure the team can effectively manage workflow, facilitate project completion, address issues, coordinate implementation activities and educate team members.

  • Contribute to the development of HealthSight Data Manager by defining actionable enhancement requests and collaborating with development teams to ensure enhancements support more efficient and timely mapping workflow, improved customer experience and enhanced data quality. .

  • Contribute to the prioritization of enhancement requests in collaboration with the Informatics and HSDM teams.

  • Represent the mapping team in a variety of multidisciplinary forums.Ensure team needs are clearly represented to stakeholders and to the management team.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in a matrix organization to provide the best possible customer and stakeholder experience for formulary mapping.

  • Effectively interact with customers and facilitate timely completion of customer facing implementation activities.

  • Demonstrate the ability to lead the customer through change management within BD applications.

Education, Qualifications and Previous Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or certification as a Pharmacy Technician or 3-5 years in a related field.

  • Bioinformatics or Clinical Informatics related experience is a plus.

  • Experience in electronic Pharmacy data normalization practices and procedures

  • Must be knowledgeable of new trends in clinical management and information systems.

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of Pharmacy practices and principles.
