We are looking for a MS SQL Database Engineer to help our development teams with T-SQL, database improvements and other database related topics.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Developer with a strong focus on T-SQL code and database improvement to join our global team.
In this position you will mainly focus on developing T-SQL Scripts, and support our software development team in understanding T-SQL Code and assists the team with database access related topics going forward.
The position would be well suited to someone looking for a role focused mostly on development with little database administration.
As part of our cross functional teams, you will guide your team members, in maintaining and improving our legacy database code as well as working on the design and architecture for the modernization of our products. You will also play a role in preparing installation requirements for our customers together with our field support teams as well as defining backup and maintenance plans.
Responsibilities additionally include
Design and develop high-quality database solutions.
Write complex statements, stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
Guide and assist the other members of the software development team in all database related topics.
Create and maintain guidelines for database access and development.
Support database design, creation, and testing activities.
Participate in incidents and problem management.
Analyze and optimize existing SQL statements to improve performance.
5+ years of experience working as a MS-SQL database developer.
Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming.
Excellent understanding of MS-SQL Server.
Experience with database security practices and tools e.g. Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
Experience in SQL Server Performance Monitoring and Tuning.
Experience in software development (preferably .NET).
Hold a valid work permit for Austria
Additional skills that are not essential but a distinct advantage:
Experience in defining backup and maintenance plans.
Fluent in English, both in verbal and written communication, German is a plus

According to the collective bargain agreement the minimum annual salary for this position is EUR 54,740 p.a. (IT KV, ST1, Erfahrungsstufe). Based on individual skills and experience, we offer appropriate additional payment.
