We are looking for Finance Manager, who will provide accurate US GAAP reporting and local GAAP statutory reporting for all of the CEE entities.

As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the income statements and balance sheets for all of the CEE legal entities.

More details about the role:

  • Responsible for taking care of all compliance related matters related to CEE legal entities.

  • The person should also manage the CEE Local finance team and partner with our Fin Ops COE Belgium, WSSC Poland and BP&A team.

  • Responsible for working across the COE with the other Finance Managers and with the CoE Leader to ensure that best practice and standardisation of processes and practices are implemented in timely manner.

  • To provide full support to the Country Controller to enable Country Controller to sign off on USGAAP and local GAAP statutory and all compliance related matters.

Main Responsibilities:

US GAAP reporting

  • Responsible for the US GAAP reporting and statutory compliance matters of CEE entities

  • Ensure that the monthly US GAAP reporting to corporate is on-time and free from material mis-statements.

  • Establish a strong partnership between the Fin ops COE Belgium & WSSC Poland, European Consolidation team, BP&A

  • Prepare all balance sheet reconciliations and upload in blackline. Review various balance sheet reconciliations.

Statutory and Tax Reporting

  • Prepare statutory accounts in-house/external service provider (eg. BDO) for all the legal entities.

  • Prepare tax returns and engage with service providers as appropriate.

  • Be the key contact for consultants in relation to all tax matters (eg. VAT, Corporate taxes etc). Take lead to follow up on these topics and ensure that they are reflected appropriately in the tax provisions

  • Be the key contact to the European Tax Department on tax provisions, transfer pricing information, one source etc.

  • Manage all external relationships (E&Y, Deloitte, BDO, etc.)

Other Areas

  • Perform an operating review with the controller and provide an update on various matters (eg. compliance status, legal entity review, status of blackline reconciliations, list of issues with Fin Ops COE, SSC Poland etc.)

  • Work closely with COE Leader and other Finance Managers in the entity COE and drive standardisation, efficiency and synergy savings.

  • Be a part of other country projects. (eg. GTM projects of businesses)

  • Have a mindset of COE and work collaboratively with other finance managers (Benelux, Nordic) and share best practices and drive standardisation and implementation.

  • To provide full support to the GSA Controller to enable Country Controller to sign off on USGAAP and local GAAP statutory and all compliance related matters. Full support for dealing with all key external stakeholders (E&Y, tax advisors, pension advisors etc).

We expect that you have:

A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA),

Master Degree in Finance

Audit experience

Solid experience in Local Finance functions involving statutory, tax reporting requirements

Proven ability to work across a Matrix Organisation

Experience in working with the Shared Service Centres

Experience in ERP implementations

Proven ability to manage projects

Proven experience working with external auditors, tax advisors and legal advisors

Experience in working in large organisations
