About the role
We are recruiting for a Clinical Consultant to cover the Midlands & South West. This role sits within the Medication Delivery Solution (MDS) business unit.
This role has arisen due to internal movement.

The Clinical Consultant will
Be an expert in vascular access and infection prevention
Work at a strategic level to support the MDS Product portfolio from a clinical perspective. This will involve creation of new clinical tools to aid the sales team and driving and managing the Practice v Guideline Reviews
Development and delivery clinical plans for the MDS portfolio across key accounts
Effectively leverage their clinical and product knowledge to advance sales opportunities as they relate directly to customer needs
Flexible support of the sales team in the field, acting as an expert, advisor and trouble shooter
Work in partnership with the Country MSL to drive development and collaboration with key Opinion Leaders
Main responsibilities will include:
Accountable for attainment and maintenance of clinical expertise in all aspects of vascular access and infection prevention to deliver reliable information and education to customers and associates
Ongoing clinical development and keep up to date with clinical practice, guidelines and clinical research
Support sales team by owning KOL relationships in key accounts
Account retention / acquisition supported primarily by the Signature Solutions Program
Offer scientific & technical support to customers and internal teams
Trouble shoot and answer clinical queries as required in an appropriate manner
Handle product complaints which require clinical investigation
Assist in the development and contribute to a UK database of FAQ’s and update on an ongoing basis
Help maintain and continually update the clinical/product database with relevant articles, reports, publications and national guidelines
Develop key local/regional advocates through a focus on delivery of clinical relevant case studies, white papers and Journal publications
Be instrumental in identifying, encouraging and managing relationships with key local/regional clinical influencers/advocates within agreed accounts in partnership with the Territory Manager and Regional Business Manager
Find opportunities for clinically relevant case studies/publications
Support Marketing, if required, in the development of product campaigns, clinical guidelines, literature and product launches
Provide feedback to the Sales Management & Clinical Manager if required following a field visit, so a support plan can be implemented
Can be assigned to participate to European working groups including both clinical, sales and marketing experts
Be available to work outside normal working hours/away from home as deemed necessary
Attendance of relevant conferences/exhibitions
Maintain and provide timely and complete reports of activity as required
Maintain and share 6-week schedule in Outlook with Clinical and appropriate Managers
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the MPS management team
About you
Hardworking, resilient and can demonstrate a successful record in training healthcare professionals
Able to work closely with members of the sales and clinical team to deliver support and demonstrate effective territory and time management skills.
NMC registration or clinical equivalent
Ideally vascular access experience
