About the role
The Workflow and Customer solution team will engage throughout the customer lifecycle for the BD IDS solutions providing customized solution design, lean workflow optimization and key outcomes measurement for targeted accounts. The EMEA Microbiology Workflow Consultant plays a key role in leverage IDS Integrated Microbiology Solutions creating a robust technical value proposition based on customer needs across the entire microbiology workflow. This role will be responsible also for the implementation of efficient processes and impactful tools to support customer base with clinical pathology knowledge to support solution development, execution and appropriate follow up.
Main responsibilities will include:
Execution and standardization of opportunity qualification & quantification tools (DIYL and Solution Design Services) for Integrated Microbiology Solutions.
Support sales and marketing in create a solid technical value prop for Integrated Microbiology Solutions based on baseline assessments.
Support the customer in key process improvement engagements as identified in the solution design (Workflow optimization, process re-design, lean lab design)
Engage customer stakeholders to gather pre/post metrics to assess the improvement on customer Time to Result, Quality, Staff, Efficiency and Cost
Provide expert clinical/scientific application support for root cause analysis and to implement corrective action & preventive actions for the country application specialists
Monitor articles and competitive products and contribute to the market/competitive intelligence
Support the development of Customer Centers of Excellence, Key Outcome Studies and Publication of results
Drive internal process excellence through identifying and leading targeted continuous improvement projects across business functions
Support the development of standardized processes/tools and provide training for the internal associates
Contribute to the understanding of current and future customer needs in liaison with the European Marketing Managers
About you
This role is a great opportunity for a biomedical scientist with an extensive background in microbiology and strong commercial acumen.
This role will involve travel (50 -70%) within the EMEA region.
