Job Description Summary

The GCS Operations Scheduler provides support and drives the GCS service functions for MMS UKI to deliver high quality professional services that meet the Customer and Business needs. The GCS Operations Scheduler is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational activities and executing tasks as requested by the CSL and Team Leaders, focusing on stock management activities namely, demo, consignment, depot, and spare part replenishment to develop and improve existing procedures and policies, and prevent losses. The objective will be to support the delivery of key initiatives to drive the service operation forward, aligned with the business strategy to meet financial goals and targets.

Job Description

Job Objectives:

  • Support Team Leaders with key initiative and improvements, analysis, and summarising proposals

  • Establish streamlined, cost-effective improvements to manage inventory efficiently including assigning inventory levels

  • Drive internal and external education on stock management process

  • Build and maintain service customer relationships and attend EBME meetings or forums

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure sufficient stock to support demand

  • Aligned to GCS UK strategies and local business strategies and business drivers to deliver the service provision to deliver against set targets and support revenue growth, cost savings and operational efficiencies, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Implement robust process to manage EOL spare part inventory within UK/I and ensure adherence to regulatory and quality compliance

  • Support Team Leaders with Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions, through reviewing existing documents, making required changes to the current inventory management processes

  • Support Regulatory and Quality compliance

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collating information of the stock movement/usage activities and analysing data, detailing areas of improvement, trends, and other required analytics for all UK spare part inventory

  • Create schedule and co-ordinate execution to carry out cycle counts across the UK to ensure accurate inventory levels across consignment, depot, and car stocks

  • Manage EOL spare part inventory held in UK/I across the MMS portfolio

  • Implement and maintain safety stock levels to ensure sufficient stock to support demand

  • Identification and escalation of constraints

  • Build effective relationships with internal and external customers leading by example

  • Support and drive ongoing projects and improvements

  • Drive continuous improvement of the team’s activity, remaining fully complaint - Identify opportunities to increase efficiency such as end to end review; optimize flows, productivity improvements in line with CSL and Team Leaders

Quality & Compliance

  • Adhere to organisation and department policies, quality procedures and protocols.

  • Comply with all quality and safety regulations as required by BD organisation, customers, and Distributor Agreements.

  • Participate and successfully complete all required BD continuing education programs consistent with the job and personal development objectives

Relevant qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of demand planning, scheduling and inventory management

  • Experience in service, customer support environment – 3 years minimum

  • Experience in Medical Device industry

  • Experience of Microsoft packages

  • Previous experience with report writing and analysing data

Travel requirements

This is a remote role and will require UK travel to customer sites and company offices. Travel to meetings, training courses and conferences will be necessary and may involve travel outside the UKI. There may be times of carrying out other activities to support business needs
