Job Description Summary

BD is hiring for the new exciting opportunity of Marketing Assistant - Peripheral Intervention (2 year fixed term contract). This is a hybrid role, based out of either our Crawley or Winnersh office and will require travel within the UK and Ireland to education and event locations as required.

As a Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to the Market Access Manager (MAM) and Product and Digital Access Manager (PDAM) in coordinating the Veeva AdProm process. You will also liaise with the Executive Support and Sales Teams to ensure compliance with our approval processes. Additionally, you will assist the Events and Education Specialist (E&ES) in organizing events and education activities, as well as monitor and report on competitor new media activity. Conducting market research activities, including primary research at conferences, will also be part of your responsibilities.

Our vision for Peripheral Intervention at BD

Our Peripheral Intervention (PI) business unit offers a comprehensive range of medical products, devices and services for the treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease, cancer detection, and end-stage renal disease and maintenance.

Main responsibilities will include:

MARKETING SUPPORT:

  • Coordinate the Veeva AdProm process with the MAM and PDAM.

  • Liaise with the Executive Support and Sales Teams to ensure compliance with approval processes.

  • Support the E&ES in event and education requirements.

  • Monitor and report on competitor new media activity.

  • Conduct market research activities as advised by the PI Market Access team.

SALES READINESS

Collateral & Sales Tools:

  • Provide sales team with collaterals and sales tools.

  • Support MAM and PDAM with ShowPad and Share Point sales libraries.

  • Coordinate marketing collateral with Creative Services and external vendors.

  • Support advertising opportunities.

  • Update the website.

Promotional Items:

  • Review and order promotional items for the sales team.

  • Coordinate exhibition collateral to meet sales team requirements.

CHANNEL SUPPORT

External Events:

  • Support the screening of incoming external event opportunities.

  • Assist the E&ES in event planning and execution.

  • Monitor ongoing advertisement opportunities.

  • Measure return on investment and provide recommendations.

Internal and external support:

  • Handle customer leads in SFDC.

  • Provide general and marketing support to the MAM, PDAM, and Sales teams.

  • Support the E&ES and sales teams in events and customer calls.

  • Prepare printed material for hospital trials.

About you

We are looking for a new marketer with a couple of years of experience or a recent graduate looking to gain experience. A degree in Marketing or Business is preferred. You should be marketing and brand aware, a good communicator, and have excellent time-management and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required. You should be a highly motivated self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and a passion for improving health outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills and a pleasant and confident manner are also important.
