Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Market Development MMS UKI but collaborating with other members of the MMS Marketing Team and other MMS / BDx Associates to ‘move the needle’ whenever possible. Success will be measured by achievement of annual sales budgets for BU (P&L) & delivery of overall marketing plan/project milestones (A&P) alongside cross functional teamwork and support in the delivery of personal and business objectives

PURPOSE
Ensure successful creation and execution of innovative marketing plans, delivering tangible differentiation and value creation for our products in the market.Managing the forecast, production, and day to day management of the solutions within the Dispensing portfolio.

KEY ELEMENTS
Keep up to date with and shape the top line market trends and dynamics in conjunction with European marketing focus & optimise planning and implementation of marketing strategies e.g. market shaping initiatives, NPD, VOC, pricing & HEOR;
Build on commonalities and synergies across EU, UK & Ireland to accelerate impactful in country programmes – from market development to customer centricity and SFE
Work alongside local / EMEA marketers to define and guide UK&I dispensing marketing strategy
Delivery of tactical plan and ensure successful execution within available resources. Ensure alignment with European marketing direction and ensure feedback to Europe through implementation
Responsibility for delivery of core market shaping plans and initiatives across dispensing portfolio
Share best practise activities / plans / business analytics across BDX & international
Working together as country marketing support and deliver on personal goals and BDx objectives
Support adequate supply chain initiatives and forecast
Oversee, quality, regulatory and medical needs and support for portfolio
Drive Customer Centricity programmes as appropriate
Behave and deliver as a senior member of the MMS Marketing Team & MMS BU
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
MARKET SENSING
From ongoing dialogue with country based teams & KOL customer interactions, gain market knowledge on key trends, market factors & competitive activities that impact the BU. Ensure appropriate dissemination across the business and upstream to Europe
Appropriate liaison with European marketing team to share trends, competition behaviours, change in environment, feedback from the field, learning from campaigns & initiatives
Ensure downstream sharing of information to BU through marketing team or directly to field based teams
Scope and define the UK high level strategic marketing plan for dispensing portfolio with appropriate input from marketing team and wider stakeholders
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Investigate, define, quantify & validate specified new business opportunities transferring knowledge across European Marketing and where applicable
Work closely with Business Operations to lead the development of business models associated with regular financial planning (Budget, ASR, Strategic planning and review) and ad hoc market and business analysis
Share best practice and ensure roll out across the EMEA region or within country
Building relationships with specific KOLs to help drive the business by conducting new clinical studies, published articles, testimonials etc and influencing others in the market
Investigate opportunities to use UK&I KOL to collaborate with International programmes and events
Work closely and influence national parties/groups & support the dispensing portfolio strategy
Work with Market Development and Market Access Manager and European marketing to influence regional strategy and ensure local country implementation for Evidence Generation and KOL / Advocate Development
Support the field sales and clinical teams in delivering our value proposition, via educational, materials & face to face training
Deliver copy, visual and advertising to support our value proposition in appropriate journals, on line etc.
GO TO MARKET – MARKETING COLLATERALS & PROJECT DELIVERY
Define and analyse segmentation, targeting and positioning (STP) for Dispensing solutions
Define localised and offer development and tools to support this (competitive analysis and profiling, product benefit analysis, product positioning and positioning statement) in line with marketing strategy
Accountable for the development of the Dispensing Solutions section, and the execution, of country marketing plan
Accountable for compliance and ensuring that all locally produced marketing materials are Copy-Approved by the Regional functions
Responsible for ensuring the Dispensing marketing budget is used effectively to support marketing strategy (PR, sponsoring, donation, customer facing events, etc)
Coordinate the integration of marketing messages in BD Way of Selling / Challenger across portfolio to increase understanding and effectiveness with local sales teams
Ensure development of local training activities and tools to support Customer Centricity role out with local sales teams: segment knowledge and customer classification, links to value propositions
Ensure close collaboration with European marketing teams to coordinate regional projects and maximize European campaigns to leverage resources
PRICING MANAGEMENT
Lead the marketing input to national/hospital tenders. Review competitor pricing and make recommendations on changes to strategy to ensure both competitiveness and also profitability
Make changes where applicable and ensure compliance with guidelines.
MARKETING COMMUNICATION
Be the point of reference in terms of product and therapy area expertise at country or appropriate international level
Remain up to date as regards marketing trends and literature relating to key strategic growth drivers
Work with Clinical team to ensure sales force product knowledge and training and continuous support via meetings and teleconference updates
Identify local impactful events, congresses, and target KOL
Work collaboratively with sales and marketing from other BD businesses on joint projects
MARKETING MANAGEMENT
Define and create metrics to measure success and return on investment of campaigns and key events: meetings, exhibitions etc utilising SF.com to show / measure / demonstrate these in dashboards / reports
Contribute to financial budgeting, forecasting in close collaboration alongside MDM and business operations
Guide the UK management team, support sales force, and engage in budget and strategic reviews
Lead the sales and marketing alignment process for the Dispensing Solutions and offer wider insight / support for MMS
TALENT MANAGEMENT
- When required / agreed recruit, coach and develop Dispensing solutions team in line with business needs / requirements.
