We are looking for a Regional Clinical Support Manager for the North to manage the Regional Specialist team supporting the MMS-Infusion business. The ideal base for the successful applicant will be along the M62 corridor or surrounding area. You will be working remotely with the expectation to travel approximately 30% of the time.

About the role

The MMS-Infusion Regional Clinical Support Manager (RCSM) is responsible for the effective management and development of the Regional Clinical Specialist team to ensure delivery of clinical excellence in the MMS-Infusion business, achieved through coaching and mentoring thus enhancing the reputation of BD as an industry leading Clinical function.

The RCSM will drive the clinical education strategy, monitoring trends and evaluating outputs, through the delivery and demonstration of the value proposition and overall strategy to drive efficiencies, whilst maintaining effectiveness within their team.

You will support the MMS-Infusion National Clinical Manager and implement the strategies within the Regional Team.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, manage and develop the Regional Clinical Specialists through coaching, motivating and developing capabilities;

  • Collate, interpret and act upon data in order to ensure a consistent team approach and delivery to the customer;

  • Collaborate with internal partners to drive business opportunities in line with the overall MMS-Infusion strategy;

  • Plan and implement sustainable and effective processes for recruitment, retention and succession planning for future growth, development and success;

  • Conduct regular 1-2-1s with your team and collaborate with the National Clinical Manager to discuss performance and/or retention issues;

  • Review customer feedback/satisfaction experience of the clinical service provided;

  • Attend Leadership Meetings or Business reviews, deputising for the National Clinical Manager are required;

You will also perform and complete mid-year and annual performance reviews, manage project resource allocations, support clinical administration, maintain the clinical product database with relevant articles/publications/guidelines and take ownership for continuous professional development to increase clinical and industry knowledge. You will be required to participate in European working groups, including clinical, sales and marketing professionals, develop peer-to-peer clinical relationships with key customers through a focus on therapy areas, support product complaints which require clinical investigation and act as a clinical contact with professions groups such as CQC, NAMDET, RCN, NNNG, PINNT and BAPEN to support and influence initiatives.

About you

The successful candidate will be a clinical people manager with a strong understanding of key NHS challenges in both Acute and Integrated care and demonstrable oral and written communication skills. You will be confident in giving presentations to internal and external partners and possess excellent judgement and decision-making abilities. We are looking for someone with high personal accountability, integrity and trust as well as a passion to "make a difference" to health. Someone with a high level of commercial awareness and clinical experience at high level is key.

Required Education / Experience:

  • Team leader or supervisory experience is essential;

  • Current, NMC Registered Nurse/Midwife or equivalent professional registration;

  • City and Guilds Level 3 award in Education and Training or equivalent is essential;

  • Level 4 Certificate in Training and Education, is desirable, however support will be provided to allow attainment of the qualification within 2 years;

  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience within IV therapies;

  • Coaching and mentoring experience is desirable.

The role requires the successful candidate to be based along the M62 corridor or surrounding area. There will be an expectation to travel regionally roughly 30% of your time, with the rest remote-based, however this can flex depending on business requirements. There will be some travel to Europe, however this will be minimal (approx twice per year). Overnight stays will be required on occasion.
