Position Description:

The SFE Senior Specialist has in-depth expertise of Sales & Supporting processes, applies expertise to improve effectiveness and provide technical guidance. Develops processes and procedures to implement functional strategies.

The SFE Senior Specialist engages with the sales and marketing leaders in the business and is responsible for developing and implementing SFE best practices and aligning to BD sales standards, supported by tools, systems and performance metrics for the sales organizations.

The SFE Senior Specialist is responsible for driving the BDx process governance, and in this capacity responsible for the successful implementation of BD Standards, while ensuring agreed business objectives are met.

The SFE Senior Specialist collaborates closely with the Business Marketing and Sales leaders both on European and local level, and with the Sales effectiveness leader.

Responsibilities:

SFE Process Governance

  • Aligns and translates the European SFE initiatives, primarily Training and Adoption of the BD Way of Selling into plans and actions for the business unit with clarity on expected outcomes, schedules, key milestones and approaches to address the change and communication.

  • Develops processes and procedures to implement functional strategies & plans

  • Actively looks to challenge the norm to drive continuous improvement.

  • Monitors and reports progress, with focus on process Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Develops corrective actions or continuous improvement programs with line managers at all levels of the commercial organization: first-line sales managers, country business leaders, marketing and European functional leaders as applicable

  • Leads and supports key aspects of CRM system implementation, and monitors performance and user adoption.

  • Validates system change requests aligning with the commercial excellence strategies and business objectives prior to IT change request and project prioritization (at BDx level).

CRM Subject Matter Expert

  • Supports the business and country champion team in their ongoing CRM skill development

  • Maintains an expert level knowledge of system functionality, configuration and process design and serves as subject matter expert to the local super users for CRM problem resolution

  • Prepares testing protocols and validates new system functionality and features for system enhancements projects and change requests) and bug fixes

  • Acts as backup for Lead Super Users of other businesses

  • Ensure quality data processes are in place to guarantee accurate qualitative metrics can be used and maintained.

Master Trainer

  • Provides guidance and training on the BD Way of Selling (best practice sales methodologies) to sales managers, and leaders. Conducts in the field coaching of sales managers and sales people.

  • Develops and maintains sales tools and enabling technology system (such as CRM) training material for users, both covering system use and business processes – collaborates with other BU trainers – shared responsibility. Trains and guides [BU] super users/trainers in the usage of the tool.

Collaboration within and across businesses

  • Ensures communication of plan status to key stakeholders, any changes as well as impact of any changes.

  • Works closely with the Data Quality Leaders to support Data Quality improvements

  • Drives continual process improvement by challenging existing processes to drive effectiveness.

Position Requirements

  • Experience in driving change in a sales or marketing or related function with understanding of sales processes and best practices

  • Experience in working in SFDC

  • Experienced at managing projects with multiple work streams and leading people

  • Effective at influencing without authority

  • Effective at establishing efficient processes and plans in order to achieve required outcomes (Process Effectiveness)

  • Experienced in working in diverse multi-country environment

  • Fluency in English and preferably another European language

  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with proven ability to multi-task and operate successfully under tight deadlines and time pressures

  • Enjoys a fast pace, dynamic, challenging and team-oriented work environment

Skills

  • Experience in working with SalesForce.Com and implementing CRM technology

  • Degree level education desirable

  • Familiarity with Healthcare market desirable

  • Highly skilled at process management

  • Numerical and analytical skills essential

  • Presentation skills essential – comfortable presenting information to internal customers

  • Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) – Intermediate level Essential

  • Project Management skills

  • Communication skills
