This role is on a permanent basis, Monday to Friday, working 35 hours per week.

About the role & the site

BD Winnersh is the UK headquarters and the office is located in the modern Winnersh Triangle Business Park, Wokingham, Berkshire with approx. 690 employees. This role is part of the MDS Group - Medication Delivery Solutions (https://www.bd.com/en-uk/our-solutions/medication-delivery-solutions)

Are you an Engineer with Science or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree who is looking to step up in their career?

Do you have 5+ years of experience within the medical devices/pharma/biotech or T1 automotive supply chain industry ? Have you worked on the investigation of product complaints? If your answer is yes, then this career opportunity could be the right match for you.

Customer experiences related to infusion devices are captured and collated as part of the process of investigating feedback and complaints received from customers. The International Customer Advocacy team receives feedback via business units from all countries worldwide outside of the United States of America.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Review and investigate international customer complaints for assigned products and processes, including the identification of root causes.

  • Perform failure investigations which will include the testing, analysis, fault diagnosis and the repair of a variety of electronic and electro mechanical infusion devices, in order to identify the root cause of the feedback issue.

  • You will recommend corrective and/or preventative action(s) related to customer complaint issues.

  • You will provide a detailed report that clearly outlines the investigation process, investigation findings, frequency of related events, corrective actions and recommendations.

  • You will escalate high priority issues as well as identified business risks to the appropriate management level.

  • You will be leading complex investigations with cross-functional teams at manufacturing sites to determine the root cause and drive improvements and corrective actions.

  • Supporting and liaising with the Regulatory Compliance, US Customer Advocacy and International QA/RA teams.

  • Working closely with BD Manufacturing sites, R&D and Quality Engineers as well as the International Marketing & Regulatory Departments.

About You

  • Scientific/Engineering Degree, HND/HNC in Engineering (Electronic and/ or Mechanical)

  • Good Electronic and/or Mechanical knowledge

  • Interest in working directly with electromechanical infusion devices

  • Experience in product evaluation, quality engineering and/or complaint management

  • Analytical ability to evaluate potential root causes at component level, in both electrical and mechanical systems and subsystem
