As a Technical Support Consultant, you will be 1st Line support with the Hotline Team based in Winnersh Triangle. The role is a flexible working based role (both home-based and office-based) and carries a shift pattern of an Early shift - 08:00 - 16:00 and a Late Shift - 09:00 - 17:00.
As a Technical Support Consultant you will:
Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone/email and work orders in a courteous manner.
Document all pertinent end user identification information and respond to assigned tickets/tasks in accordance with SLA guidelines.
Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to the final resolution.
Apply diagnostic utilities and best practice methodology to aid in troubleshooting
Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.
Utilise RMM platforms to maximum efficiency
React to service outages promptly with adherence to standard operating procedures
Self-triage and dispatch tickets when required
Take ownership of tasks and follow through to ensure complete resolution
Take a personal interest in and responsibility for the quality of work performed
Help end users to make adjustments and configure work arounds to ensure a solution is reached in a timely manner
Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved.
Process all part requirements, including part transfers and replenishment within our UK Warehouse.
Follow all company policies and best practices such as accurate time tracking.
The successful candidate will have a previous service desk experience. You will have a good IT skills and understanding of computer networking. Excellent communication skills, process driven and methodical in your approach is crucial. You will be organised, forward thinking and happy to learn with ability to maintain good customer relationships.
