The Business Procurement Analysts act as strategic business partners focused on providing insight and support to the Segment Business Partner VPs and Teams in Medical, Life Sciences and Interventional. This strategic role is acting as a key enabler for the success of all business units within the Segment assigned, through internal and external intelligence, metrics and data visibility, fact packs, and analytics across the full Procurement and Business Agenda.
Job Description
The Business Analytics Procurement Manager engages the appropriate Global Procurement resources and is responsible for providing meaningful insights from the reporting, data intelligence, analytics associated with the assigned portfolio Business Units.
The associate in this role works across both Procurement and the assigned businesses and improves a strong analytical capability to integrate sourcing and business strategies to identify and pull through the opportunities at a Business Unit and Segment level. This person supports and manages reporting and monitoring of critical KDGs and other metrics for both categories of spend across the assigned business. She/ he will participate in a Community of Practice with their Segment peers and the Advanced Analytics Analysts and Director.
Responsibilities:
70% - Opportunity Identification
Generating, evaluating and reporting of opportunities using Spend and Forecasting Procurement systems (Sievo) - Identification of x-BU opportunities, material inflation analysis/gaps, LPP vs Stds.
Analyze WAPT opportunities and follow key actions to be taken to improve WAPT for the Segment and Business Units and Direct/Indirect opportunities.
Map spend projections by category, regions, BUs and key suppliers and flag key opportunities. Validate against Production Planning including impact of new launches, product refreshes.
Strengthen our Risk model profile thru capacity assessments, natural disaster inputs, get our information right in the system, etc.
Net Promoter survey information and analysis to develop a targeted action plan identifying who and how to have a focused/targeted effort to improve key partners that question GP value at a Segment level
Analyzing and building data from various sources with the purpose of making conclusions and relevant insights
20% - Reporting
Dashboards - Savings (Both negotiations & Proc enabled VAVE), Supplier Risk Program, SRM, R&D programs. All dimensions (Segment/BU/plants/regions)
Forecast/Demand analysis by Business unit/Segment and communicate this back to relevant partners
Build a report per BU of key direct and indirect initiatives, impact in $k and clarify progress/actions/timing/resources/help needed
Track and monitor cash preservation initiatives (payment terms, Incoterms, inventory reduction, lead times) raw material Inventory Reduction Program initiatives (consignment, Supplier maintained & managed inventories)
Monitor key suppliers’ financial health, manage requests from procurement managers and intensifying risks & suggesting improvements
Producing and highlighting trends in data & performance analysis and e ensuring standardization in processes performed (Forecast/Demand Analysis, Working Capital, Planning) and continuously improve the service levels.
10% - Hypercare support
Be a support to handle systematic critical issues in the Segment. (i.e. Tactical support for sites, EOL Management support, Covid-19 support)
We are looking for a person with minimum of 5 years of work experience in Procurement, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, supply chain, or a related field and fluent English is desirable.
Proficiency in excel, data visualization tools and good knowledge of reporting tools (Hyperion, BW SAP, BPC SAP, etc.) is an advantage
Broad business knowledge and positive attitude!
Proficiency in strategic sourcing with a history of successful implementation
Experience with supplier value management, supplier development and continuous improvement
Working and influencing within a highly matrixed organization
Skilled at developing partnerships and building strong working relationships and a proven track record of developing programs and collaborating with others to reach mutual outcomes
