BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) EMEA Pricing Processes Optimization Lead in Wroclaw, Poland
Job Description Summary
The primary role of the EMEA Pricing Processes Optimization Lead is (1) to analyze the current issues and gaps in the operational contracting, financial data generation and pricing processes; (2) to define improvements in these processes; (3) align with the cross-functional team members on the proposed new process solutions; (4) document and coordinate the implementation of centralized pricing processes across the EMEA region.
The main price management processes in scope are linked to an online price & tender management solution, embedded into SFDC; New Product introductions and SAP-related processes linked to the generation of the foundational contracting and finance data by the Customer Service Organization (order entry) and Finance teams.
An additional and important role of the EMEA Pricing Processes Optimization Lead is to supervise and lead the EMEA Pricing CoE team located in Wroclaw. The Shared Services Pricing team based in Wroclaw is supporting the EMEA region via operational pricing tasks linked to pricing data maintenance in the online tools and Key Performance Indicators monthly monitoring - report generation and consolidation, created based on the strategies and SOPs defined by the EMEA Headquarters of BD, located in Switzerland.
All these tasks are delivered in alignment with the strategies and governance defined by the Pricing Center of Excellence members – the Business Unit Pricing Leaders and BDX Pricing Director based in Switzerland at the EMEA Headquarters of BD.
The EMEA Pricing Processes Optimization Lead will report directly to the Pricing Manager based in Wroclaw coordinating the Global Pricing Council price optimization programs - as specified by the EMEA Pricing Council - focusing on innovative technology developments in the EMEA region.
Beyond the documentation and introduction of process flows, Standard Operating Procedures and coordination of the successful implementation of cross-functional processes involving pricing of New Product introductions; Free of Charge product related activities; the EMEA Pricing Processes Coordinator is responsible for the following areas:
collaboration with the project teams working on the introduction of SAP S/4Hana – representing the pricing function;
contributions towards the briefing of vendors who develop new IT applications and solutions to support the new price management processes; coordination of the testing of the new IT solutions;
development of Quality Assurance measures - together with the Pricing CoE members, ensuring reliability, transparency and predictability in the price management processes deployed in the EMEA region;
collaboration with the Sales Force Effectiveness teams towards the creation and establishment of robust customer segmentation data management processes.
collaboration with the Master Data mgmt teams - together the Pricing Data Integrator, with the aim to establish strong processes linked to Master Data Management, connected to pricing;
recommendations towards processes which generate complete, reliable and accurate price data – these process recommendations will be prepared in close collaboration with the Pricing Data Integrator.
These tasks are delivered in a close collaboration with the members of the EMEA Pricing Center of Excellence, especially considering the EMEA BU Pricing Managers and the EMEA Pricing Director working at Regional and BDX Global levels.
In addition to knowledge about core price setting and price execution activities, the Pricing Processes Optimization Lead should possess project management skills, evident via the ability to contribute to diverse, cross-functional and cross-regional Business Unit-specific and BDX project teams involved in the work associated to Regional/Country pricing projects .
As from a successful candidate, it is our expectation that the candidate has 5+ years of experience in a similar role requiring analytical and solution development skills & price management of complex product portfolios and situations at international level.
Furthermore, the following skills and experiences are required:
Proven ability to introduce optimized pricing processes, ability to manage effectively cross-functional teams
Ability to develop impactful pricing & contracting reports & to manage very large data sets
Proactive approach towards solving complex analytical and solution development tasks
Proven ability to manage an operational pricing team
Excellent communication skills
Proven ability to work as part of a cross-functional, cross business, virtual project teams, a desire and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Creates and maintains collaborative and productive environments for projects
Ability to speak and write fluent English
Travel: up to 20% (international travel as well)
Additional skillsets which would be appreciated - expertise in these would be an advantage:
Bachelor’s or similar degree in Business Administration, IT, Engineering or similar field of study work experience
Fluency and experience with any of these softwares and programming languages:
