Job Description

GM Specialist is accountable to build, maintain, lead, operate and improve Mobility Administration. Reporting to the ASC Total Rewards Leader with a dotted line to the CoE Senior Manager Global Mobility EMEA & Greater Asia, this position will work closely with HR Partners across EMEA, the Total Rewards Center of Excellence, external vendors and colleagues in other BD Regional ASC’s.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Ensures high-quality service delivery for BD employees in EMEA consistent with the BD values!

  • Applies subject matter expertise on international move requests ensuring the company and/or associate have given due consideration and analysis of the business case, compliance, international taxation and cost mitigation, employee’s long term career path, as well as policy application in all policy types including Long Term International Assignments, Short Term International Assignments, Cross Border Commuter Assignments, Cross Border Travelers, International Transfers, and Local Plus moves

  • Coordinates all types of mobility cases from consulting phase through the lifecycle of the move until completion. Actively executes the process ensuring timely completion of cost analysis, approvals, assignment letter generation and review, system updates, compensation accumulation, year-end tasks, invoice review, and other related administrative transactions

  • Manages business consultations to advise on the accurate policy type and help to handle the business expectations in line with the mobility program

  • Proactively manages issues, customer concerns and exceptions ensuring a positive associate experience while ensuring compliance, cost mitigation, and equity are balanced with policy adherence. Collaborates with and Engages Mobility CoE optimally

  • Manages day to day interactions with relocation and tax services partners serving as a single point of contact to vendors on caseload questions related to associates’ services.

  • Participates in designing the Global Mobility program and guidelines when applicable. Leads and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

  • Gathers and provides analysis on appropriate metrics, data, and reports around compliance, performance, and data analytics (peer-level)

  • To be successful, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Degree in HR, Business, Economics or related field

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of previous experience and expertise in the area of Global Mobility

  • Knowledge of basic immigration requirements within the EMEA region

  • Understanding of tax compliance issues, tax equalization, and tax gross-up

  • Previous experience in other areas of Total Rewards (Benefits, Compensation) and in collaboration with external vendors is a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with all levels of management and fluent English

  • Ability to work within a matrixed organization

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and prioritizing skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook, Workday would be a plus
