The Global Shared Services (GSS) Program Manager , is part of a global team that will support organizational and work transition activities. The candidate will participate in assessments against industry service delivery models, activity mapping to transition opportunities, business analysis and recommendation of solutions for effective work transfers to BD’s Shared Service Centers (SSC.) This position will be accountable for managing a large portfolio of projects, primarily focused on the EMEA region, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery by designated transition managers (overseeing PMs work.) The candidate will also be the steward of the BD GSS Work Transitions Methodology, answerable for its upkeep, expansions and toolset improvements, as administered by GSS Engagement Team, according to most recent market trends. Finally, this role will be responsible for helping GSS to manage a variety of other corporate initiatives that impact the Shared Service Center in Poland or elsewhere. This role will interact and influence across various levels of Functional and Business organizations to ensure effective structural transformations and work transitions. Key Global Shared Services partnerships include Functional VPs, Global Process Leads, Business Process Managers, Enterprise Project Management Office, Global Services – including IT and delivery partners, Quality & Regulatory, Human Resources as well as regional and global finance contacts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Business Analysis and transformation support (20% of total time)

  • Supports analysis of “as is” service delivery models for respective functions, business groups and teams

  • Assist to build company assessment against industry benchmarks and maturity models for SSC and BPO utilization

  • Takes part in strategy and solution definition of operating and org models for selected company functions

  • Contributes to visualization and report outs of analysis outcomes and long-term proposals/strategies

  1. Program Management - Transition Portfolio (30% of total time)
  • Creates, manages, and/or reviews work plans for all transition projects undertaken by the regional SSC organization. Required to oversee Transitions Managers effectiveness, methodology utilization, quality and consistency of plan execution

  • Maintains work plans, enters status and ensures burn rates into MS Project software or similar

  • Creates management reports and presentations to keep senior leadership up to date on schedule, budget, and deliverable status

  • Collects, organizes, mitigates, and escalates project issues and risks Aids the Business Unit or Functional Group with creation of mitigation plans

  • Responsible for creating and organizing project work papers for validation and compliance traceability (when required)

  1. Methodology and Tools Management (30% of total time)
  • Creates and maintains collaboration environments for projects, using MS Office or other trending solutions

  • Maintain and improve master transition plans and templates Ensures transition toolset evolution and improvement by introducing new technologies

  • Trains BD associates on use of transition methods and tools and helps support PM tool usage

  • Documents policies, procedures, and accelerators to be used as best practice for firm-wide transition management into shared service centers

  • Conducts post-transition reviews and works with stakeholders to identify weaknesses in the methods or plans and works with the GSS leadership and EPMO leadership to propose and create improvements.

  1. Management of Other SSC Initiatives (20% of total time)
  • Creates and maintains plans for other projects that impact the SSC in the region

  • Manages other regional SSC projects and controls status, risk, issues, and budgets appropriately

  • Participates in M&A Due Diligence activities and integration plans Improves methods, tools, and training for general project management

  • Occasionally will be asked to support regional center leadership in operations, center, escalation or people related topics

  • Potentially to hold host manager role for teams with remote management

  • Business Acumen: Mastery skills in understanding the business, being agile and applying expertise in communication and working with diverse groups of people and skill sets and to work in Wroclaw, Poland with ability to speak & write fluent English.

  • Calmness and Clarity Under Pressure: Is capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under changeable priorities and ability to travel up to 20% to support: onsite Discovery, Plan & Prep and KC for transitions; minimal travel for Ramp Up and Stabilization

  • Facilitation: Must be able to facilitate difficult working sessions with senior leaders and handle positive and negative feedback and inputs appropriately.

  • Execution: Mastery of project scheduling skills and use of PM software (such as MS Project and Project Server)

  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to understand complex, multi-project (anaging minimum 10 project at once) environments and be able to quickly diagnose potential risks and issues.

  • Communication and Reporting: has experience of building great quality outcomes and constructing complex report outs– preferably using automatic solutions – PBI, QlickSense, Tableau

  • Analytical Skills: is able to process high volume of data and translate into conclusions, recommendations, solutions plus knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Project and Project Server, (Desired: SAP; SharePoint, Qlikview, Qlicksense, Tableau, PBI)

  • Talent Management: Demonstrated capability to facilitate groups of senior audiences, provide candid feedback, ability to train people on complex tools sets, and excellence in working in a highly collaborative environment.

  • Personal Credibility & Integrity: Demonstrated excellence in professionalism, professional communication, presence, a high degree of integrity, and willingness/strength to do the right thing in difficult situations.​

  • BA dergee (Master preseffer) in Business Administration, Finance, Science or related Analytical field required

  • Minumum 7 years of relevant experience in business/ corporate environment.
