Currently, we are looking for a Procurement Specialist who will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders for assigned categories and/or sites, and handles a wide range of two-way communication with and in support of site procurement that arises in the course of contracting administration, while demonstrating close collaboration and alignment with category group leaders and global and regional strategic sourcing managers. Performance is measured against agreed cost savings and value targets (where applicable), contracting deliverables, and proficiency in the use of the applicable tools for the sourcing process.

In our SSC structure, a Procurement Specialist is accountable to Procurement and Operations Leadership for contracting administration and associated supply base management activity; implementation of projects generated by sourcing strategies. For direct categories in the portfolio, this person is accountable for compliance to corporate procedures for designated suppliers within the assigned region, where applicable. For indirect categories in the portfolio, this person is accountable for demand management and governance and compliance metrics, where applicable.

Additionally, reporting to the Associate Director, Global Procurement Operations (Bidding and Contracting COE), the Procurement Specialist executes contract administration activities for assigned programs as defined by workflow or other operations needs. Assigned sites and/or categories may change from time to time. The assigned scope is generally broad in nature over multiple sites. The Procurement Specialist leads Contracts management activities and executes such contracting events and activities for assigned suppliers. This associate is responsible for achieving or otherwise enabling Class I and II savings targets (if applicable), and for assigned supply base, and achieving or otherwise enabling value targets within the assigned sites and/or categories. Also is responsible for managing operational activities within the Bidding and Contracting COE, as assigned.

70-80% Contracts Administration (including category activity, if applicable)

20-30% Contract Compliance, Continuous Improvement and Special Projects, as needed

Also, in the scope of Procurement Specialist responsibilities, you will find:

  • Leverage the empowered contracting model to deliver contracting expertise for the Global Procurement organization and BD, more broadly

  • Run contract requests through iCertis or other tool as necessary (e.g. BuySmart, Bravo)

  • Provide ServiceNOW workflow expertise and leadership in assignment and follow through for applicable projects

  • Contribute to the development of best practices for the COE

  • Promote the use of the COE and develop practical solutions to extend the use of the COE by partnering with E/GPLT (Global Procurement Leadership Team)

From a successful candidate we expect:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Procurement and Sourcing

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply Chain required, MS preferred

  • fluent English is a must

  • Bidding and Contract experience required
