This role is part of the Athena 2 Program (a major ERP replacement program) working with the Athena 2 workstreams. The Athena 2 Project Manager is responsible to ensure the successful delivery of the program across the relevant functional areas (s)he will be assigned to work with. As such, this role assumes overall accountability for the planning of all activities leading to the results for the respective workstreams. This encompasses the entire delivery lifecycle, taking over from the Discovery phase through blueprinting, localization, solution design and build, user/business testing, data migration, cut-over and go-live, and finally the hyper-care phase. In addition to the core process-focused results, areas such as data and access management, end-user training, and change management lie within the scope of the role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understand and ensure compliance with relevant BD project management methodologies applicable

  • Work in concert with, and in support of, other workstream project managers and the Programme Manager to deliver overall programme objectives

  • Ensure identification, engagement, and contribution from key partners for assigned workstream – both operational and governance level

  • Plan, prioritise and facilitate workstream meetings/workshops and other required events such that they achieve their agreed objectives, leading to measurable progress against project deliverables and schedules

  • Demonstrate adequate subject-matter functional knowledge (not functional expertise) in areas such as Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Care in order to:

  • effectively engage with partners and team members

  • Demonstrate prior experience to recognize potential risks, and prioritise and direct relevant mitigating actions

We are looking for a person with a minimum 5 years’ experience working on projects/programmes within the ERP domains in global corporations, ideally within life sciences/healthcare/med-tech industries.

Additionally, we would be looking for:

  • Working understanding of contemporary project/programme management processes, methodologies, and tools

  • Proven experience within a complex, matrix organizations having outsourced service partners

  • Ability to work with virtual multi-location, multi-timezone team

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English, and ability to provide reporting inputs for executive level

  • Strong organizational, project planning, scheduling, and risk management skills and demonstrated experience using project management tools and software (i.e.: Microsoft Project, and Project Server/Project Online)

  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Projects, Visio and SharePoint, MS Project

  • PMP, PgMP, Prince II Certification is a preference

  • Experience in SAP preferable and other enterprise-class platforms could be considered

Other desirable Skills:

  • Able to use initiative and work to tight deadlines under pressure, with a strong focus on efficiency and attention to detail

  • Strong partner and supplier management and ability to resolve conflict

  • Proven ability to work as part of cross-functional, cross-business, virtual project teams, a desire and comfort working in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to adapt to change and prioritize effectively, managing multiple demands and deadlines in a pragmatic and efficient manner

  • Ability to see the bigger picture and see risks on the critical path and proactively flag and mitigate them
