We are looking for an experienced Market Development Manager , with a proven track record, to work within our MDS team in Central Eastern Europe.

Role can be based in Croatia or Czech Republic .

The MDS Market Development Manager CEE will be responsible for defining and growing the Medical Delivery Solutions portfolio, a key growth area for the Central Eastern Europe region (without Poland & Israel). The role requires working closely with the country teams to implement the market development strategies/activities at local country level as well as working with the CEE marketing team and the EMEA BD's Medication Management Solutions team. A key component will be a country by country understanding of market trends, customer needs, clinical practice, purchasing process and competitive environment for Medical Delivery Solutions. Strategies and plans will then be defined on the basis of these insights regarding priority segments, value propositions, market shaping and commercial approaches. Similarly working closely with the Country Business Leaders and Sales Manager to manage current distributor partners for the portfolio. This will involve making longer term recommendation of the go to market options and models.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Driving incremental sales and services in acute care hospitals using competitive MDS products and solutions.

  • Developing account strategies, in conjunction with multiple sales teams, to increase category share across the MDS portfolio

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers.

  • Growing the MDS footprint in existing accounts by selling the MDS “better together” messaging at the highest levels within the organization.

  • Understanding and ability to influence the development and implementation of pricing and required adjustments to ensure competitive advantage in the market

  • Negotiating and collaborating with customers and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieving consensus

  • Building and sustaining relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty

  • Creating and executing a significant pipeline

  • Consistently utilizing all resources available within MDS CEE

We expect that you have:

  • Bachelors degree in medical technology or related field and/or business administration

  • Experience in Medical device industry as well as working in a multinational or international environment

  • Strategic agility, with conceptual thinking and analytical skills and strong eye for business

  • Experience and expertise selling to technical decision makers by aligning and reinforcing the value of the solution to the customer’s overall business plan

  • 7 + years of experience with evidence of career progression in the relevant sales field, ideally with prior experience in key account management or strategic marketing

  • Shown experience in the distribution of complex solutions in the healthcare sector.

  • Product or program development with a strategic approach to the solution

  • Willingness to expose oneself to new, diverse, ambiguous situations

  • Fluency in English both written and spoken.

  • 50% - 70% travel will be required
